The Short Rows Call for Submissions
The Short Rows, the Agricultural History Society’s online space for members and guest scholars, invites submission of short essays on current affairs from scholars of the rural and agricultural past. The society envisions this forum as a place to display the vibrance and continued relevance of agricultural history. The ideal essays are accessible to a general audience, connect the past with issues or topics of current interest, and are of moderate length (1,500 to 3,000 words). Contributions on any geographical area and time period are welcome. Anyone considering a submission is invited to review past posts, available at https://www.aghistorysociety.org/ahs-blog.
If you are interested in contributing an essay, please email editors Adrienne Petty at ampetty@wm.edu, Drew Swanson at drew.swanson@wright.edu, or Shane Hamilton at shane.hamilton@york.ac.uk with either a query or a draft. All posts are licensed under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license.
