Statement of the Agricultural History Society on Tennessee

The Agricultural History Society will hold its annual conference in Tennessee in 2023, but that meeting should not be construed as support for recent anti-democratic actions by the Tennessee House of Representatives and the Governor. The Agricultural History Society affirms our commitment to democratic representation and political norms, civil rights, anti-racism, safety from gun violence, academic freedom to teach and openly discuss all aspects of history, and life-saving care for women and minorities.
