FREE Online Conference About Placemaking in Small and Rural Communities
“Placemaking is a collaborative engagement process that helps community leaders create quality places where people will want to live, work, visit, and learn. History organizations play an important part in placemaking in their communities--that's why the "Power of Place" is AASLH's Annual Conference theme this year and is one of the five guiding themes in Making History at 250: The Field Guide for the Semiquincentennial. This virtual conference from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) showcases effective placemaking strategies for rural areas, introduces attendees to placemaking resources and tools, and connects them to placemaking experts and potential funders. USDA is also releasing a Rural America Placemaking Toolkit during the conference, May 23-24. Learn more and register.”
